Since 2019, by decision of the Government of Georgia, insurance of employees performing work involving increased risk has become mandatory for employers.
Compulsory insurance is required for all legal entities, including individual entrepreneurs who have been granted the status of a performer of work involving increased risk.
Among the activities involving increased risk, heavy, harmful and hazardous work are such activities as the construction of various facilities, work related to the mining industry and quarrying, work related to the production of computers, electronic and optical products, work related to the production of machinery and equipment, work related to chemical and pharmaceutical production, as well as the production of furniture and clothing, food products, light industry, work related to water and air transport, etc.
Within the framework of the above, Unison offers accident insurance, which covers:
An incident occurring during or in connection with the work process, resulting in: injury to the employee’s health; limitation or loss of working capacity; death or recognition of the employee as missing;
