When chartering on the basis of time-charter (for a certain period of time or taking a certain number of routes), the ship owner is obliged to equip and staff the ship with a crew, as well as to maintain the seaworthy condition of the ship during the time-charter period, to bear the costs of insurance of the ship and maintenance of the crew. – Specific insurance conditions/requirements are regulated by Maritime Code of Georgia.
